Peer Review Policy

The International Journal of Advanced Medical and Scientific Research (IJAMSR) adheres to the recommendations of the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE) and implements a rigorous peer review system that emphasises transparency, objectivity, and confidentiality.

1. Reviewer Selection and Conflicts of Interest
  • Expertise: Reviewers are selected based on their subject‑specific knowledge and professional competence.

  • Independence: Reviewers must be independent of the authors and free from competing interests that could bias their evaluation.

  • Disclosure: Any potential conflicts of interest, whether financial, academic, or personal, must be disclosed to the editorial office.

  • Recusal: Reviewers are expected to decline assignments if a conflict of interest exists or is perceived.

2. Reviewer Responsibilities and Conduct
  • Impartiality: Manuscripts must be evaluated solely on scientific merit, originality, and clarity, without discrimination based on race, gender, religion, ethnicity, or nationality.

  • Confidentiality: Reviewers must treat manuscripts as confidential documents and must not use or share their contents for personal advantage.

  • Timeliness: Reviews should be completed within the designated timeframe to ensure efficient editorial processing.

  • Constructive Feedback: Reviewers are expected to provide clear, evidence‑based, and constructive comments to help authors improve their work.

  • Misconduct Reporting: Suspected research misconduct (e.g., plagiarism, fabrication, falsification) must be reported to the editor immediately.

3. Journal Responsibilities
  • Transparency: IJAMSR maintains a clear peer review policy, outlining evaluation criteria and processes.

  • Anonymity: The journal follows a double‑blind review system, ensuring that both authors and reviewers remain anonymous.

  • Confidentiality: The editorial office safeguards the confidentiality of manuscripts and reviewer identities.

  • Editorial Oversight: Final decisions regarding acceptance, revision, or rejection rest with the editor and editorial board.

  • Record‑Keeping: Reviewer reports and editorial decisions are documented and preserved for accountability.

  • Communication: Authors are informed of editorial decisions and reviewer feedback in a timely and constructive manner.

4. Author Responsibilities
  • Transparency & Disclosure: Authors must disclose any conflicts of interest and ensure the accuracy and integrity of their work.

  • Compliance: Authors are required to follow IJAMSR’s submission and publication guidelines.

  • Responsiveness: Authors must respond promptly to editorial queries and reviewer comments, revising manuscripts as required.
